Hans joined Texas 2036 as Project Coordinator in 2020. In this role, he works across the organization’s workstreams to facilitate project planning, tracking, management, and execution. He comes to Texas 2036 after eight years of work with Achieve, a national education policy and research nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. At Achieve, Hans provided management for a network of state-based education advocacy coalitions and research projects such as interactive data tools and reports focused on college and career readiness issues. He also supported additional efforts, including Achieve’s work to improve the quality of instructional materials available for students and educators such as the Open Education Resources project. Hans earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University and a Master of Public Administration degree from American University in Washington, D.C. He lives in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas with his wife, a kindergarten teacher.
