Jeanette Ward joined Texas Mutual in 1993 after earning her government degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She has since climbed the company’s ranks and was named president and CEO in 2023. She has accumulated over 30 years of valuable experience, serving in a variety of roles including chief operating officer and overseeing strategic planning and budgeting, policyholder services, underwriting, information technology and actuary.

Jeanette also gives her time and talent to charitable organizations, including United Way, Early Matters Greater Austin and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, which recognized her with the 2022 Philanthropic Leader Award. She has been a featured speaker at numerous national industry events, was honored by Insurance Business America as one of the 2020 Elite Women in the insurance industry, recognized as a 2025 Best CEO by Austin Business Journal and named to the 2023 Forbes 50 Over 50 – Investments list.
