Dear Fellow Texan,
On this Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating our shared love for Texas. We feel it when that Texas tune hits just right — whether sung by Willie, Selena or our school’s band. When we dig into a plate of Tex-Mex, barbecue or homegrown tomatoes. And when we cheer for the home team on Friday night.
It’s in the way we are fiercely independent while still always willing to step up and help our neighbors — standing strong through tough times and believing in the promise of a brighter future.
Our state was named after the Caddo word for “friend,” and our state motto is “Friendship.” That idea that we strive together to make life better for all our friends, our fellow Texans, lies at the heart of who we are. We come together, despite any differences, to ensure our communities are the best places to live, work, start a business and raise a family.
And that’s what fuels us at Texas 2036. Our founder, Tom Luce, knew that Texans would step up and support the work that moves our state forward by creating opportunities for individual achievement and enterprise.
So, on this Valentine’s Day, as we cherish our loved ones, don’t forget our neighbors, the strong bonds of friendship that make us Texans, and the work we still have to do together.
Texas Forever,
Team Texas 2036
