Focus

Hope oversees all policy projects at Texas 2036 and advocates on behalf of the organization through direct legislative engagement. During the 2021 legislative session, her work contributed to the creation of a Joint Oversight Committee on Investment in Information Technology Improvement and Modernization and the establishment of the Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation (TPSFCO). In 2023, she worked on data solutions for foster care reform and strategic spending on cybersecurity and IT modernization efforts. Going into 2025, Hope will be spearheading legislative strategy and supporting all policy areas.

Prior Work Experience

Hope came to the Texas 2036 Austin Office from the Texas Senate, where she served as the Communications Director and Policy Analyst for Senator Kel Seliger. Over the last decade, she has worked in both chambers in the Capitol for both parties and as Government Relations for the Texas Retired Teachers Association. During her time as a legislative staffer, Hope handled State Affairs, Veteran Affairs and Border Security, Criminal Justice, and Public Education committees, and she is well versed in brand and crisis management.
