Sheryl Sculley served as city manager of San Antonio, TX from 2005-2019.  After 45 years in local government management in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Phoenix and San Antonio she retired from public service in 2019. Currently she is a consultant with Strategic Partnerships, Inc., and a corporate board member at Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation. Sculley also serves on several non-profit boards including the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, the Downtown Austin Alliance, and Texas 2036.

Sculley is a Life Member of the International City Management Association, a fellow in the National Academy of Public Administration, and has been an adjunct professor at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas in Austin.  Sculley is widely considered an authority on city management as her financial acumen is sought after by government and business.  Sculley is married to Mike Sculley and they have two adult children. Sculley has been an avid runner having completed numerous marathons including two Boston Marathons.  Sculley is the author of “Greedy Bastards:  One City’s Texas Size Struggle to Avoid a Financial Crisis”, a book on leadership and her city management experience in San Antonio.  She is a frequent conference speaker on her book and public management experience.
