Social Media Policy

We are a nonprofit organization building long-term, data-driven strategies to secure Texas’ continued prosperity for years to come. We engage Texans and their leaders in an honest conversation about our future, focusing on the big challenges. This means we want to hear from you! However, we do have a few rules and guidelines we ask our followers to adhere to.

Action.

We encourage discussion and discourse on all Texas 2036 platforms. Comments and discussion need to be kept factual, topical and posted in good faith. Any comments without these qualities are subject to removal without notification or explanation.
Please be aware it is impossible to review a post before it becomes publicly readable. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any user comment. We actively monitor posts but are not responsible for the content of user comments. A post expresses the views of its author and does not represent the views of Texas 2036.

Diversity.

We believe a core value of being Texan is to be respectful, friendly and inclusive. This is not limited to our work but also the conversations on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. It is against Facebook’s terms of use to “repeatedly send the same message or make the same post because this could be considered spam or harassment.” Therefore, we reserve the right to remove spam from our page.

Opportunity.

We welcome and encourage the opportunity for feedback and improvement. We believe every Texan wants our state to be the best place to live and work, and to do that, we must promote opportunity and make sure everyone has the tools and chance to succeed.

Pragmatism.

Texans are practical and willing to come together to make the right – and sometimes tough – decisions when the case for action is made. We have the right to remove objectionable posts and we will make every effort to do so within a reasonable time frame. We reserve the right to remove any post without providing a reason. Anyone repeat offenders could be banned from future participation on this page.

Resilience.

We believe Texans are generous, focused on family and community, and willing to help others in need, making us able to overcome any challenge facing our state now and into the future. Let’s keep our community and our page in line with these values.
