Guillermo “Memo” Treviño is president of Southern Distributing, a beer and soft drink distributor in Laredo. He serves on the boards of the Holdsworth Center and Gateway Community Health Center. He serves on the advisory boards of the Baker Institute for Public Policy, Jones Graduate School of Business, the Rice 360 Institute for Global Health Technologies, and OpenStax. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Treviño has served as a member of the boards of Rice University, the San Antonio Branch of the Dallas Federal Reserve, BBVA USA Bancshares, the International Bancshares Corporation, and chaired the board of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. He has also chaired the boards of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, the Laredo Development Foundation, the Laredo Boys and Girls Clubs, and the George Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association. Treviño earned a BA in English from Rice University and an Option II MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
