New multi-state network focused on data-driven policy launches

States for the Future, a multi-state collaborative network focused on using quality data and research to inform policy, launched last week with representatives from nine states: California, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia. 

Texas 2036 currently serves as the lead partner managing this newly-launched network of states united by a shared goal of data-driven policy. We believe States for the Future creates a unique opportunity for learning, collaboration and resource sharing across state lines.

Participants from each state helped shape the initial structure and functions of the network as well as develop the beta version of a national indicators data platform. The platform contains data from all 50 states spanning education and workforce, health, and prosperity and wellbeing. In the coming months, it will include additional data points on infrastructure, natural resources, justice, and more.
