It's Texas' birthday again! And in just 13 years, Texas will turn 200. With this in mind, it’s important that all Texans can look toward their future with confidence. next Today, like yesterday more than 14 million in this great state will head to work, almost 6 million children will head to school and more than 1,000 new Texans will be born — and it’s important that all Texans can look toward their future with confidence. next That’s why Texas 2036 was created — to bring together Texans to work on the issues that will matter the most to our state’s prosperity and quality of life not just today but for decades to come. next Our efforts support Texas leaders. They’re making sure that more Texas students grow up to land a good paying job after high school, that health care is more affordable, that we will have enough water for years to come, and that our state government is working for us – the people of Texas. next What makes Texas so great?
