Maryann joined Texas 2036 after six years at Southern Methodist University where she served as the Assistant Director of Gift Administration. Maryann helped to streamline and strengthen the University’s gift administration and non-profit operations to be more efficient and expedient during SMU’s The Second Century campaign, their largest capital campaign to date having raised over $1 billion dollars. Originally from Oregon, Maryann began her career in the non-profit industry almost twenty-five years ago at The Oregon Zoo Foundation in Portland. Since moving to Dallas in 2005, she has lent her extensive knowledge of non-profit operations to other notable organizations such as the Nasher Sculpture Center, Parkland Hospital Foundation and the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Maryann obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. In 2019 she graduated with a Master of Liberal Studies degree focusing on Human Rights and Social Justice from Southern Methodist University. Maryann resides in Irving-Las Colinas with her husband David and their two dachshunds.
