Seth Oldmixon joins Texas 2036 after 15 years in strategic communications consulting, where his clients included domestic and international nonprofits, professional associations, and local, state, and national political campaigns. Seth’s writing has been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, and The National Interest, as well as on dozens of blogs and online publications. A recognized expert in digital media, his work has been repeatedly honored by Campaigns and Elections (2019, 2013, 2010) and the American Association of Political Consultants (2014, 2013, 2010).
A native Texan, Seth is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He was a volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Bangladesh, conducts pro bono communications training for groups advocating for people with disabilities, and serves as a Cub Scouts Den Leader. He resides in Austin with his wife and son, where can be found hiking, fishing, and losing golf balls.
