Rob Orr arrives at Texas 2036 with more than fifteen years of experience in Texas legislative policy and governmental relations with a focus on budget and regulatory policy issues. Having served as an analyst for two different Senate Finance Chairs as well as in the House State Affairs Committee he developed a keen understanding of the State budget process; the House and Senate landscape; managing stakeholder groups; navigating complex policy issues; and how all of these facets interact at the legislature to impact public policy decisions. Most recently he worked for Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) helping members and the public understand complex market and operational issues. He received his BA in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science from Texas Tech University and fully believes had Tariq Owens not gotten hurt in the 2019 NCAA semifinals they would have won a National Title. Rob resides in Austin with his wife and twin daughters.
