Amy started working at Texas 2036 after three years of practicing law at two top-tier firms in Dallas including Patton Boggs LLP and McGuireWoods LLP as a corporate attorney. Her legal practice focused on private equity, venture capital, hedge fund and sovereign wealth fund representation. She has expertise in fund formation, investor side representation and M&A, including work on both the debt and equity sides of the transaction. While attending college at UT Austin, Amy developed a passion for public policy while working in the offices of Senator Jane Nelson and former Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus. Amy earned a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and a juris doctorate from SMU Dedman School of Law. She has a passion for child welfare issues.
