"Our shared belief is that the health of our state depends upon the success of all of its communities, and that urban and rural areas are inextricably linked." - Bruce Esterline

Texas 2036 has been partnering with the Texas Rural Funders Collaborative to ensure that our work is informed by, and inclusive of, the unique strengths and challenges of rural Texas. We look forward to joining them and the Texas Tribune in College Station at the Texas Tribune Rural Symposium Nov. 12th & 13th as Tom Luce, Founder and Chairman of Texas 2036, presents an overview of rural Texas and the future of our state.

In advance of this symposium, Bruce Esterline, Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Grants at The Meadows Foundation which is a member of the Texas Rural Funders Collaborative, shared more about the Collaborative and its goals in Texas is rural; rural is Texas.
